ALISA MICHELLE

​Malisa Michelle is the matriarch of the trio and Co-Owner at the Jeweled Hair Lounge. New Britain, CT is her home. Jeweled Hair Lounge and Beauty Spa is not Malisa’s first business venture in New Britain, CT. Her passion for helping and uplifting the residents of New Britain runs deep.

She was the founder and CEO of “Repairing the Breaches”, a not-for-profit organization that provided services for individuals following incarceration, and those suffering from substance abuse. Malisa provided housing for men and women. The resident’s quarters included counseling, GED classes, and a daycare center for those utilizing the site for its many programs. Repairing the Breaches provided the Job For Life 16 week program, which aided in job placement. The organization had contracts with the Department of Children & Family Services, as well as Hartford’s Juvenile Probation. After the recession in 2008, the organization lost its funding and could no longer provide the much-needed services. It was a huge loss to the community.

Malisa is a visionary. She identifies an issue, then builds a business to address the need, just like she did with the Jeweled Hair Lounge. She specializes in 501 C3 and LLC preparation and has helped many organizations with starting their own business.

​ADRIAN GOODWIN

Adrian is the oldest daughter of this dynamic trio and Co-Owner of the Jeweled Hair Lounge and Beauty Spa. Adrian is an entrepreneur at heart and has run other successful businesses, climbing through the ranks as an Executive Director. Adrian has over 15 years as an investigator in law enforcement and is an Adjunct Professor in the Law and Police Science Department at a local college. Adrian and her mother always discussed starting a business. So, when Adrian’s mother presented the idea of opening a Beauty Supply Store in New Britain, CT, while stating some of the concerns of having to travel to Hartford and Bloomfield for certain hair care products, Adrian knew this business was needed. ​KYRA MORRIS

​At the age of 22 years old, Kyra is the youngest Co-Owner of Jeweled Hair Lounge & Beauty Spa. Kyra is a graduate of New Britain High School and a recent graduate of the University of Hartford majoring in Marketing. Kyra’s love for hair and makeup combined with the ideas of her mother and sister to include a Hair Salon with the beauty supply store. A winning combination!!!!!! Kyra specializes in making custom wigs, frontals, Sew-In weaves and provides makeup glam sessions and bridal party services.  Follow Kyra on Instagram @glambyky.
