Kimberly Cares – Low-Cost Medical Services
This family health clinic was established by Navy veteran Kimberly Barrow after practicing as a registered nurse for nearly a decade. Most of her time was spent at the bedside caring for acutely ill patients in Level 1 trauma centers and other hospitals. Many of her patients were uninsured with limited financial resources.
Unsettled by the healthcare disparities and limited access to care, she decided to take action.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Central Florida, she went on to obtain a Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health and Science Center in Houston. The following year, she opened a practice using a self-designed model to deliver top-notch, cost-efficient care.
Kimberly is credentialed through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program to treat adults and children and is a member of several other professional organizations.
Our nation has millions of families without adequate access to affordable health care. For many, it is the difference between basics needs or an expensive office visit.
Treatable conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure worsen leading to severe complications such as strokes and heart attacks. Kimberly Cares was designed to be a resource that provides quality, affordable health services for everyone without regard to insurance status.
