I’Jala Wilson Retriegue, CEO

IJala Wilson-Retriegue is a professional, dynamic hairstylist with a decorated career in just a couple of years. In July 2019, she won the Hudson Valley Hair Braider of the Year award! In March 2020, GetFlawlessByIJala opened up a line of hair and body products during the start of COVID-19. The product line was so successful that in just two short months, GetflawlessbyIjala partnered with organic supermarket, Nature’s Pantry, to begin distributing her homemade hair and body butter and other products at the market. GetFlawlessByIJala has been featured in several magazine articles and continues to gain widespread support from her community.

I’Jala is an all-around leader and entrepreneurial genius! She is determined in nature and because of this I’Jala was able to open up her own salon just one month before the COVID 19 Pandemic, within 2 years of earning her license. During the pandemic, IJala decided to take her business to the next level and create a line of all-natural hair and body products that promote hair growth and replenish moisture.

I’Jala Wilson is a pivotal part of the community in Middletown. As a retired NYPD officer, she used her skill of helping others to drive her passion as a hairstylist. Through her business, she has been able to make a significant impact in the community.

As a hairstylist, I’Jala’s entire work is surrounded by inspiring women and men to feel beautiful in the skin their in. I’Jala ensures that each client that sits in her chair is well educated on their natural hair. IJala teaches her clients how to best embrace their hair and care for it properly so that they can look and feel like the true flawless individuals that they are. I’Jala believes in encouraging all her clients, especially women, to feel confident in themselves, she believes it starts with loving what’s inside so you can look your best on the outside. From retiring from a noble job of Saving lives in the NYPD and starting a new career in Beauty, I’Jala has shown what it is to be an inspirational and truly dynamic woman.
