Flick of the Whisk Cakes was born February 2019 from a list of hobbies I made during a time when my interior design job was experiencing a slow period. Baking was the winner of hobbies I wouldn’t mind turning into a business & it has grew in a way I never expected. The outpouring of support and referrals from customers continues to push me to learn new techniques, reach new customers, and build my business to be one of Denvers top bakeries.

Completely self-taught, I have been cooking & baking since I was young, watching my mom first and then learning step by step what goes into making great tasting food and even greater tasting desserts. At the constant request of my dad, I started with a simple recipe, Chocolate Chip Cookies from the back of the Hershey’s Chocolate Chip bag. That evolved into helping my mom make her famous pound cake and surprising my whole family on Thanksgiving 2018 by making a caramel apple naked cake (her first “professional” looking cake).

When I’m not baking, I love spending time with my family, traveling, and people watching. Also binge watching Netflix Shows (Shameless in particular), Love & Hip Hop, & Basketball Wives.
